French multinational oil major Total continues to diversify and adapt to changing market, industry and political conditions by making strategic investments across the renewable energy value chain. Total Energy Ventures, the corporation’s venture capital (VC) arm, joined AutoGrid’s Series C-2 funding round as a strategic investor, the Redwood City, Calif.-based developer of distributed energy resource management systems, announced Sept. 16.
