The power is supplied through your household current, so the electricity could be generated by coal, solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear sources, depending on what your electric utility company uses. Off-board charging can be accomplished with a special charger in as little as 10 minutes, and a company called GreenIt is planning the construction of rapid-charging stations for electric cars.

Safety and performance are not lost with the Tesla Roadster
The Battery Safety Monitor responds to an emergency involving the condition of the car battery - in this case, by automatically disconnecting the battery pack from the vehicle and shutting down power to the car and to all electric cables in the car. It also is programmed to prevent overcharging in much the same way. |

From the time I was nine years old I had a blockage of energy in my solar plexus. It was, or felt like, a very concentrated collection of negative energy. Every time I did any soul searching or meditation, it seemed to become worse. The first time I attended one of your demo nights you called me up on stage. When I went back to my seat it became much, much more pinpointed and powerful. I couldn't leave with it like that, so after you had finished talking I asked you to help. By the end of the evening it felt better than it had for years. It wasn't completely gone, though. |

This effect can be used to test yet another prediction of inflation: we should be bathing in gravitational waves with a very wide spectrum of lengths, ranging from less than the size of the solar system up to the largest observable scales.3 The amplitude of the waves is determined by the energy of the false vacuum that drives inflation: the higher the vacuum energy, the larger the waves. Thus, if Clover detects gravitational waves, we should be able to deduce the energy of the false vacuum that drove the inflationary expansion. |
| For observers to exist, it would be enough to turn chaos into order on the scale of the solar system. This would have a much higher probability than a fluctuation on the scale of billions of light-years that would be needed to account for the observed universe.
Another problem, having an even longer pedigree, arises if one assumes that the universe is infinite and that stars (or galaxies) are distributed more or less uniformly throughout the infinite space. If this were the case, then no matter where you looked in the sky, your line of sight would eventually hit upon a star. |

| V known mythologies of the solar god: a certain tenderness toward the lovely gift of light, a gentle gratitude for things made visible —such as must once have distinguished the religious mood of many peoples.
The mirror, the sword, and the tree, we recognize. The mirror, reflecting the goddess and drawing her forth from the august repose of her divine nonmanifestation, is symbolic of the world, the field of the reflected image. Therein divinity is pleased to regard its own glory, and this pleasure is itself inducement to the act of manifestation or "creation. |

Andrew ELUcott Douglass was an astronomer working in Arizona in 1895 when he first started cutting down trees to examine them for evidence of any effect from a specific solar activity, called sunspots, that occurs in cycles. He never found that—but he did ultimately invent dendrochronology, the scientific technique of studying tree rings for clues about the past. One of his first observations was that tree rings were thinner during cold or dry years and thicker during wet or warm years. |

Some dermatologists have advocated for no sun exposure [51]; however, the World Health organization (WHO) Report [56] on solar UV radiation indicates that it is not appropriate to strive for zero sun exposure as this would create a huge burden of skeletal disease from vitamin D deficiency. However, it is important to avoid excess exposure because this has been linked with skin cancers and skin photoaging [51]. A rational scheme to achieve skin synthesis of cholecalciferol without significant risk of overexposure has been published [8]. |

Once sea ice begins to melt, in other words, the process quickly becomes self-reinforcing: more ocean surface is revealed, absorbing solar heat, raising temperatures and making it more difficult for the ice to re-form during the next winter. (This is known as the ice-albedo feedback: 'albedo' is a scientific term for reflectivity.) As Ted Scambos, lead scientist at the US National Snow and Ice Data Center in Colorado, explains: 'Feedbacks in the system are starting to take hold. |

Forget what you were taught in high school physics: atoms are not like little solar systems, with electrons orbiting a nucleus like tiny planets orbiting a sun.9 Particles are waves, too! This is what the Copenhagen interpretation is all about. Named in honor of Danish physicist Niels Bohr, who first offered it as an explanation for the quirky nature of the quantum world, the Copenhagen interpretation says, basically, that matter has two complementary aspects: matter is both wave and particle at the same time. |

Duration of exercise and duration of the heat exposure
The environmental heat stress is determined by the ambient temperature, relative humidity, wind velocity, and solar radiation. The relative humidity is the most important of these factors, because a high humidity severely compromises the evaporative loss of sweat. Often sweat will drip off the skin in such conditions, rather than evaporate. This means that heat loss via this route will be less effective.
It is important to note that problems of hyperthermia and heat injury are not restricted to prolonged exercise in a hot environment. |

| Born of a virgin in Ethiopia and taunted by his playmates to search the question of his father, he set off across Persia and India to find the palace of the Sun—for his mother had told him that his father was Phoebus, the god who drove the solar chariot.
"The palace of the Sun stood high on lofty columns, bright with glittering gold and bronze that shone like fire. Gleaming ivory crowned the gables above; the double folding doors were radiant with burnished silver. And the workmanship was more beautiful than the materials."

The most abundant circulating form of the vitamin is 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], which more closely reflects solar exposure and dietary intake. Eight cohort studies that examined the relationship of pre-diagnostic serum levels of 25(OH)D to subsequent development of prostate cancer produced discrepant results. One study found a clear inverse association [248], but the other seven studies did not reproduce this finding [249-255]. |

This Infoceutical also is designed to address the bioenergetic consequences of overexposure to electromagnetic radiation, or e-smog, from both man-made sources such as computers, mobile phones, and radio waves—and natural ones, such as solar radiation. It also has a bioenergetic impact on the nervous system, specifically addressing issues correlated to many of the bacteria, fungi, parasites, viruses, and viral particles—both real and virtual—that may disrupt the nervous system and affect other tissues. Therefore, this Energetic Star has a robust connection to Energetic Terrains. |
| Peter's matching experiments revealed that the centrosome, when subject to a QED field, may be affected by magnetic forces from the Earth, sun (especially solar flares), and moon. Under these magnetic influences, centrioles appear to communicate with DNA through exchanges of light (photons). Through this exchange, they can project "informational images" of microbes, creating what amounts to energetic and informational structutes in space. When a collection of similar cells all project the same information structure, they create what we in NES call an Energetic Terrain. |

Not only is the Earth not the center of the solar system, but the Sun itself is an unremarkable star at the outskirts of a rather typical galaxy. And yet, we could still hold on to the idea that there was something distinctly special about our Earth—that it was the only planet with this particular set of life forms, and that our human civilization, with its art, culture, and history, was unique in the entire universe. One might think that that alone was reason enough to treasure our little planet like a precious work of art.
Now, we have been robbed of this last claim to uniqueness. |

| The goddess is red with the fire of life; the earth, the solar system, the galaxies of far-extending space, all swell within her womb. For she is the world creatrix, ever mother, ever virgin. She encompasses the encompassing, nourishes the nourishing, and is the life of everything that lives.
She is also the death of everything that dies. The whole round of existence is accomplished within her sway, from birth, through adolescence, maturity, and senescence, to the grave. She is the womb and the tomb: the sow that eats her farrow. |

The solar plexus acts like a "switchboard" for both psychological and physiological activities. The "gut feeling" that we sometimes have about a certain person or situation is locked into the Pitta force. It gives us the natural instinct to search for pure foods, clean air, fresh water, stimulating friendships, supportive emotional relationships and the like, so that we are able to remain in physical, mental and emotional balance.
Pitta dosha also helps us to be moderate in eating, drinking, sexual activity, and in meeting our other needs. |
| Since all external influences, such as solar storms, climate changes and the moon's passage through a particular zodiac, represent different energy states, they can instantly trigger corresponding activities, responses and transformations within your body. As a result of receiving these outer stimulations, your body sends subtle signals or intuitive messages to tell you that its requirements for such necessities as food, water, rest, exercise, warmth and coolness have changed. However, this requires sensitivity and wakefulness on your part. |

On lighter to medium skin tones, solar lentigenes emerge as small- to medium-sized brown patches of freckling that can grow and accumulate over time on areas of the body that receive the most unprotected sun exposure, such as the back of the hands, forearms, chest, and face. For those with darker skin colors, these discolorations can appear as patches or areas of ashen-gray skin. Regardless of how or why these benign discolorations occur, the response to them is the same worldwide: this is something women want to get rid of and prevent from recurring, or to prevent in the first place. |
| These discolorations (technically referred to as solar lentigo, melasma, and cholasma) are caused by sun damage or hormone-related changes, not the liver (Sources: Clinical & Experimental Dermatology, October 2001, page 583; and Medline Plus, National Institutes of Health, www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/00114l.htm). I mentioned earlier that the crossing of the Arctic 'tipping point' (particularly the loss of the 'solar mirror' of sea ice) may drive the planet into higher levels of warming whatever we do now. Experts are not agreed on this, however. One academic analyst has calculated that there is only a 7 per cent chance that we already have crossed the two-degree line. This is already a worryingly high figure: I would personally not set foot on a ship that had a 7 per cent chance of sinking in mid-ocean, for example. |

Solar research from all over the world has shown that exposure to ultraviolet light is probably the most comprehensive and impressive healing method there is. With all of the tremendous benefits that sunlight has been proven to bestow upon us, it is truly astonishing that most of the sick people in the world still rely on expensive and poisonous medical drugs that do not offer nearly as many benefits. The following are a few examples of what ultraviolet light can do for you. |

As one of the largest such buildings in the country today, the eight-story school of nursing gets one-fourth of its energy from the hottest free source in the solar system—the sun—and requires less than half the energy of a conventional building overall. Set in a region with a near-desert climate, the building also includes waterless urinals and low-flow toilets, and smart-glass coated windows that allow maximum light to come in with minimum heat. |
